A diptych from the current show at the Thackeray Gallery, London. A marvellous summer day of high and fast moving weather, the gap between the canvasses speaking to me of the imposssible moment of the wave….
This painting is in the current exhibition of my recent paintings at the Thackeray gallery. Done at the very beginning of May. Late afternoon high tide, a wild sea, sun and wind all day promising summer. The exhibition continues until June 25th.
Intensely cold early morning near Widecombe, ice floes in my water pot, drifting snow flakes.
Recently spent a week in Upper Eskdale, Cumbria. Heavy rain, all the streams and rivers full – timed it right for my preferred late Autumn with the last leaves. Very wet working conditions… This painting still in progress
An “undergrowth” painting place – the Bovey unusually full for this time of year
